MaxNews is fully MIME-compliant and supports reading and composing messages using any charset that your system supports.

Like other newsreaders, it can be used to select, view, write, sort and print Usenet News articles. Articles can be saved locally, cut into the Macintosh Clipboard or forwarded to other individuals via Electronic Mail. MaxNews offers a more visual approach to Usenet News than most other news readers. MaxNews allows the user to easily navigate between newsgroups and articles via its point-and-click interface.
