Marées dans le Monde 4.00 contains a database that allows to predict the tide with an accuracy sufficient for the needs of navigation in approximately 9 500 places in the World. In 4 190 main stations, the calculations are based directly on the harmonic method. Corrections allow to deduce the water height at any time in 5 418 subordinate stations.
Through the authorization of the LEGOS (Laboratoire d'Etudes en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiale), you have the opportunity to exploit the results of satellite observations. These instruments were used to calculate the FES 2004 Solutions that constitute a worldwide network distributed on a 1/8° grid in longitude and latitude, therefore you are always within 4 miles of a point that can be considered as a main station.
The user interface is very flexible and allows the export of all results as text files, a solution well adapted to the marine environment. Who indeed has a printer on board his yacht ? Nevertheless, the impression of tide tables is performed with a maximum resolution of 300 dpi on all paper sizes in common use.
When you drop anchor, Marées dans le Monde computes the minimum depth required to avoid any risk of smelling the ground or grounding. The software calculates the time when the ground dries if we plan to careen or what will be the maximum depth, so you know how much anchor chain you have to pay out.
If you have previously scanned tide current charts this version of the software can display them according to the time.
Download the file (46,2Mo) and unzip it. You will obtain 5 files including a big Marées dans le Monde.cab. which presents itself as a compressed file, do not try to decompress it with WinZip. The other four files are Setup.lst, Conseils d'installation (Français).txt, Read Me (English).txt and Setup.exe. After reading Read Me (English). txt, run Setup.exe.
