Your favorite game is back! Season after season, FIFA is still as successful as ever. Electronic Arts succeeds each year in adding the elements that make the most undecided or disappointed fans crack. This year, EA’s golden goose will once again be one of the best-selling cultural goods in France and the rest of the world, unless there is an industrial disaster. As usual, Logitheque intends to prepare FIFA 20 guides and tips for you. But first of all, let’s start with all the rumors and information about the new opus of football simulation par excellence.

What’s new in FIFA?

During its EA Play show, the Canadian firm gave some details about its new opus. Expected by fans for years, FIFA Street, released in 2012, is now part of FIFA under the name Volta Football. This is a new section that will include its own modes: league, kick-off and history.

The FIFA 20 developers promise more realistic goalkeeping interventions. The doormen’s movements and passes have been reworked. As in every season, EA is making some improvements to optimize the physics of the various elements. Overall, the gestures and animations will be more realistic. For example, it is to be expected that the possibility of too many technical gestures will be reduced: this will give more dynamism to the game and annihilate stereotypical attempts.

EA would also have addressed the problem of slow defenders catching up with players in much faster lanes. Adjustments concerning artificial intelligence in defence have been made. A new tackling system was introduced.

The stopped kicks have also been modified. FIFA 20 allows you to adjust the effect of the ball on a free kick or penalty kick more precisely, thanks in particular to a target.

To conclude on the evolution of FIFA’s gameplay, a new system for finishing actions has been integrated. It offers a more realistic experience and rewards original movements.

In terms of aesthetics, FIFA 20’s graphics are always powered by the Frostbite Engine 3. The EA-loving graphics engine has been used in football gaming since FIFA 17 (2016).

FIFA 20 Demo 20: Release date and content

The official date of the demo and its content have not yet been released by EA. However, based on previous years’ dates, it should be published in the first half of September. As a general rule, the game demo is made available 10 to 15 days before the game is released. This year, it could be published on September 12.

As for the content of the demo, you can expect a preview of the new Volta Football mode. You will of course have the opportunity to play fast matches with about ten teams from popular leagues.
