That’s it, the last moments of 2018 are in the hourglass. This is an opportunity for Google to name the best applications available on its Google Play store for the past year. What were the best applications on the platform?

For the Mountain View firm, the big winner this year is the Drops application. This is a very well rated language learning application on the Play Store. Users gave it a score of 4.7 out of 5! Drops allows you to learn up to 31 languages in a fun way with simple visuals.

The Molotov TV application won the Audience Choice Award. A great progress for this application which allows, we remind you, to watch more than 30 French television channels for free from your smartphone or tablet.

In the Games category, it is no surprise that PUBG Mobile wins the prize. Battle Royale games abound on the platform, so it is logical that the precursor of the genre finds himself in pole position at the end of the year. Remember that Fortnite, the other tenor of the genre, is not downloadable from Google Play. Given the phenomenal success of Epic Games’ game, it is easy to imagine it in first place in the ranking of the best Google Play games if it had been published on the platform.

This year, Google also wanted to dedicate the Films and Series. The Marvel blockbusters logically occupy the first places in the ranking (Avengers: Infintiy War, Black Panther, Thor Ragnarok). Finally, in the Series category, again no surprise with the sure values Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Grey’s Anatomy.
