Windows 10 Enterprise 1703 will no longer be updated by Microsoft

Last Tuesday, the Redmond firm deployed the latest patches for Windows 10 Enterprise 1703. An article published on Microsoft’s blog indicates that this version of Windows 10 will no longer receive any updates.

This is not surprising information since Microsoft had already postponed the end of support for Windows 10 version 1703 twice. As a reminder, this version, also called Creators Update, was released in April 2017 and brought with it 3D support in Paint and Microsoft Edge, a night mode or a redesign of the Windows Defender antivirus.

Microsoft originally warned users that support for Windows 10 Enterprise 1703 would be available on October 9, 2018, but finally left an additional year to encourage companies to migrate their IT assets to a higher version.

Microsoft therefore encourages the business community (and any user ultimately) to upgrade their system to Windows 10 1903, the latest version until Windows 10 November Update 2019 is deployed.

If your devices are equipped with the version that followed Creators Update, i. e. Windows 10 Enterprise 1709, please note that the support end date is currently scheduled for April 14, 2020.
