KiCad is an open source electronic design software suite developed by Jean-Pierre Charras for your Linux computers. It allows users to design and produce various electronic schematics and licensed printed circuits. The software uses the free graphic library wxWidgets and allows users to visualize their realization in three dimensions. It is composed of several software programs:

  • Kicad: The Project Manager
  • Eeschema: The schema editor
  • Pcpnew: The printed circuit board creation software
  • Cvpcb : The utility for selecting physical impressions of the electronic components used in the schematic.

Thus, thanks to its multi-platform appearance, you will be able to carry out all the essential steps in the design of a printed circuit board. You can download the software from the file we provide you with.
