  • Note :

It is not easy to find a powerful CAD software under linux. With this program you will be able to make 2D technical drawings in the field of architecture or mechanics from a Linux environment. LibreCAD is an open-source application also available on Windows and OSX. It offers basic functionalities (hatching, dimensions, simple shapes, insertion of images or texts). The program is able to open DXF files, which is a must in terms of interoperability with other computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, etc. Projects can be exported in various formats such as XPM, XBM, PPM, ICO, JPEG, PNG, TIF. The use of LibreCAD is quite simple for the initiated and remains accessible to novices. The interface and parameters are translated into several languages including French.
