VLC media player is a portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg,…) as well as DVD, VCD and various streaming protocols. VLC media player can also be used as a unicast or multicast streaming server in IPv4 or IPv6 over a high bandwidth network. It does not require an external codec or other programs to operate.

VLC is a reference with its improved video rendering engine. It is highly customizable and everything is done to ensure that it perfectly meets the different needs of users.

This powerful mediaplayer has an active community in which tutorials and extensions are shared that allow you to add features to it.
