AutomountMaker allows you to create a collection of script files to quickly mount remote volumes managed in SMB (samba), AFP (under AppleTalk or IP), FTP or any other file system, once the scripts are created, you will be able to place them in the “System Preferences” under the “Open” option of your “Account” and thus free yourself from the tedious operations of mounting remote volumes that you regularly perform by choosing “Connect to a server…”. For each of your scripts you will describe the following connection information: : In the Connection tab: – the type of file system (AFP, FTP, http, NFS, SMB or other if applicable), – the IP address of the server, – the name of the remote volume, – the name of the domain or workgroup – the name of the user, – the user’s password, ï In the Security tab – A protection option for your script (to prevent it from running on a computer on your network….) In the Options tab – Possibility to delay the opening of the script and therefore the mounting of the remote volume, – Allow x connection attempts before declaring the server unavailable, – Possibility to ping to make sure the server is present before trying to mount a remote volume associated with this server.
