Aero Quartet has just released SimpleMovieX v3.0, the video editing particiel for Mac OS X. Inspired by QuickTime Pro, SimpleMovieX extends editing capabilities to other commonly used video formats, AVI, Google Video, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. As SimpleMovieX can edit and write these formats directly, editing and saving are both fast and without loss of quality. This new version also manages the chapters, which allows to structure long movies and separate them into episodes. Other new features include the Conversion tool to convert a list of movies to another format, and the track oscilloscope to help it make accurate editing and synchronize with the image. SimpleMovieX also allows you to quickly search for a sequence in a movie using the search panel, and the variable scale time scale allows you to place the playback head very precisely even when the movie is very long. Files of 4GB and more, for example a 6-hour TV recording, are perfectly managed. SimpleMovieX targets a wide audience: From the informed viewer who wants to enjoy its programs without advertising, to the user of cameras, digital video and mobile phones who wants to edit, compile and share his short films, to the video collector who decorates music concerts or compiles Google Video clips. For occasional users, a free demo version of SimpleMovieX is available for download. SimpleMovieX requires Mac OS X v10.3 or higher. QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component is required to edit in MPEG-2 format. QuickTime Pro is not required. The particiel is in French.
