In a grid of varying sizes (7 to 10 boxes on each side), series of three contiguous numbers are hidden in orientations you have selected, which, using the following calculations (A X B) + R and/or (A X B) – R, allow you to find a target number you have chosen. In other words, multiplying the first two numbers followed by adding or subtracting the third number allows you to find the target number you had chosen… For the student, it is a question, in limited time or not, of finding the largest number of alignments of 3 squares. To vary the difficulty, the trios can be oriented one to eight ways in the grid. The grid can be more or less large, the types of calculations can be limited or not {(A X B) + R and/or (A X B) – R} Depending on the target chosen, more or less trios are possible to hide, The “Hunting trios” software allows to print an A4 sheet containing four grids formatted according to your settings ,Mathematical learning developed : – Mastery of the four operations : Revision of the multiplication tables – Implementation of the operational priorities in a numerical expression parented or not. – Acquisition of essential mental calculation automatisms.
