IPScan32 v3.4.4 (abandonné, remplacé par Dipiscan)
This software, intended primarily for local network administrators, scans machines with a “bit of Ethernet” to find certain information from the workstations connected to them.
This allows you to recover for each NetBios compatible machine:
- IP address
- name NetBIOS
- DNS name
- login user having opened a session
- field
- MAC address
- server started? (Y/N)
If it was, in its first versions, only a small utility serving as an interface with the DOS commands well known to admins (PING, NBTSTAT, ARP, NSLOOKUP, TRACERT), IPScan32 has recently been extended with many new features.
IPScan32 can thus retrieve the OS version and the description of the remote machines (defined in the workstation properties, from W2000) as well as the list of open shares (not available under Win 9X/Me) including those that are hidden. However, these features depend on the user’s rights on these machines.
Finally, IPScan32 now includes a small module allowing a brief follow-up of its machine fleet….
Editor’s note: although IPScan32 is still available for download, I strongly advise you to abandon it in favour of Dipiscan. The latter is a complete rewrite of IPScan32 in a more modern language.
Dipiscan is much faster, more feature-rich and requires no installation since it is natively portable…. If you liked IPScan32, you will love Dipiscan!
